Cosmetic Dentistry

Cosmetic dentistry is dental work that improves the appearance and function of your teeth. Many of our patients request a cosmetic consultation because they desire to improve the appearance of their smile. You may be tired of seeing any of the

  1. dark colors from old metal fillings
  2. yellowed or discolored teeth
  3. open spaces between teeth
  4. crowded or misaligned teeth
  5. an unsightly gum line
  6. or teeth that just seem to be shaped wrong.

If any of these above conditions are your concern, then schedule an evaluation and consultation to discuss your options.

More about color change in teeth.

Over time, tooth enamel can change color and often appear darker. The following are the varied causes of color change: genetics, aging, tooth trauma, illness, medications, exposure to certain foods, coffee, tea, and tobacco use. External stains which penetrate the enamel surface are most successfully removed by tooth whitening or bleaching products. Severe discoloration, however, is most successfully modified by advanced, modern dental restorations which use natural, color corrected resins and ceramics.

The following list describes general dental services most commonly performed to enhance your smile.

Facial esthetics and smile assessment of colors, contours, and proportions: oral photos and plaster models are shared with our dental lab technicians to develop a concept plan to improve your smile.

Tooth Whitening: We offer In-Office whitening and Home Use bleaching systems for a brighter smile. In-Office whitening products contain a higher concentration of hydrogen peroxide and are much stronger than the products sold at retail for home use. This difference in concentration allows for quicker results.

Orthodontics: We offer fixed and removable appliances for correcting general tooth misalignment and for closing spaces between teeth. Clear aligners, MTM alignerâ„¢, are used for minor tooth movement without braces.

Tooth Colored Fillings: We use color blended fillings for a natural appearance. The restorative material is most often made of a composite or glass ionomer resin, and does not contain mercury. Read More

Bonding and Veneers: Color blended fillings or laminates bonded to the front surface of those teeth that are visible when smiling, and used to improve color, contour, and alignment. “Bonding” means chemically adhering a restorative material to the tooth surface. The restorative material is often made of a composite resin or porcelain.

Crowns: Naturally appearing restorations of extensively damaged tooth structure.

Missing Tooth Replacement:

Implants and Bridges: non-removable replacements for missing teeth

Dentures and Partial Dentures: removable replacements for missing teeth
